Step 2: Create Windows Password Reset Disk with USB Drive

We need to burn all necessary files to a password disk in order to remove the forgotten password on MSI laptop. Generally, we can make such a disk with DVD or USB flash drive. It is quite obvious that USB is a more welcomed option, as DVD drive is not the standard part of shipped laptops.

Now insert a USB drive into the computer and remember its drive name. Then open UUkeys Windows Password Recovery and select the drive name from drop down list. Finally, click "Burn USB " button to create a password reset disk. Eject the disk from the computer.

Step 3: Set First Boot Media to USB on Locked Computer

Insert password reset disk into locked MSI laptop. Boot the computer to see whether it will load the programs in that disk or not. If not, then you should change the first boot device to USB HDD. The default is set to hard drive or DVD.
